![]() The two great commandments that Jesus left us with when asked what is the greatest of all the commandments is in Matt 22: 36-40. Let’s look at the passage and refresh what it says. Matt 22: 36-40. (36) Master, which is the great commandment in the law? (37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. There is so much to write about this. So, this will be a two part series. Part one with the first commandment and part two with the second commandment. I am going to just simply bring out the two commandments with valid truths as the Holy Spirit showed me. Starting with the first commandment, I am going to show four basic scriptures to be proven so true. Like, I said I could write so much more. These four truths are going to prove we have his power, love conquers all, the word does strengthen us, and it sets us free to be true. Let’s talk about the first commandment Matthew 22: 37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
The point is this, if we have truly accepted Jesus as our savior, he abides in us the same way, THE SAME WAY, as he abided in the Father. My wife got excited about this part. To her, the same way meant having Jesus' name, his authority, with his results. Amen. Remember, Jesus was man when he walked on earth. He was a willing vessel to do the Fathers works just as we are to do. So, Jesus had the power in him, able to conquer all things, be strengthened by the Father to accomplish it, and was set free by forgiving what we did to him. Jesus entered into his rightful place in the fullest. This means we can enter into our rightful place in the fullest. I will close out with this short passage from 1 Jn 4:15-17. 1Jn 4:15-17 (15) Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (16) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (17) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. Get to know Jesus as your savior, call on his name to repent and forgive so that you can enter in your rightful place here and now. Go to our salvation link and obtain all this.
