Working Out is Like Working the Word

10/1/2019

Working out in the Gym is very similar to working the word of God in our lives.  How can this be so true?  Well when we are out of shape physically we have to begin somewhere to start getting back into shape. Well to get spiritually in shape we have to open the bible at sometime and start getting into the word of God; just like we have to picking up the weights in the Gym.  Now, that we have decided to get serious in getting into physical shape.  We have to begin disciplining ourselves in going to the Gym on a regular basis.  WE can’t just choose it is okay to go every now and then and expect to get into shape.  Well the same thing applies to the more we discipline ourselves getting into the bible we begin to spiritually get stronger in the word.  Just think about it; when we start off with 5lbs weights and if we keep this routine going for a while; then we will start graduating to 10 lbs, 20 lbs and etc. and etc. right. To become more spiritually stronger we would need to open the bible and start reading it. The more we read and the more we start memorizing the verse the stronger we become with the word of our Lord Jesus.  Then the word of God will begin to change us spiritually just as the weights change us physically.
Let’s look at some scripture’s to help us see this is true.
Heb 5:12-14
(12)  For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
(13)  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
(14)  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
1Co 3:2
(2)  I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
1Pe 2:1-3
(1)  Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
(2)  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
(3)  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Sometimes, when we workout we get a little intimidated! How can this be so?  Well!  We see that other men or women can do more than we can or even last longer than we do. This causes us to be intimidated by the fact we thought we were stronger than we thought.  Hmm! Think about it for a minute. Well! They are lifting more weights than we can.  Especially, when we notice they are about the same size as we are or even when they look smaller than we do.  So we can tell that they are stronger and lift more weights.  This gets us in a intimidated state of mind. This very same thing happens with the word of God.  How does this compare with the word of God?  We will be catching ourselves at least saying 1 or 2 things.   The first one is they are smarter in the word than we are.  The second one is someone might say “Gee! They really get deep into the word.”  The most important thing is having a mind set of not giving up. We have to press through with the word and obtain that wisdom and knowledge to grow on.  We do the same thing in lifting weights to get our bodies stronger. Right!
Jos 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Gal 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
You see WE have the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to help us when we do get discouraged.

Now, if we don’t go to the gym regularly we will never know if the workout is going to work for us or not.  The same thing will happen to us about using the word of God.  We have to work it regular to know if it will work for us or not.  Get the point!
Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We will know if it is working or not for us.  We will have to give it time.  In the physical sense, our appearance should change and our strength will increase for the better. Right!  This means we will eventually show some weight lose, muscle growth by lifting more weights, and leading into feeling more confident about ourselves altogether.  The trick is it doesn’t all happen overnight.  We have to keep working at it. This same technique applies to building the word of God into our lives. We will begin to noticing we are remembering scriptures, where they are located at, even to the location in our favorite bible.  We begin to feel more revelations of his word working in our lives. We will have a better attitude not only about ourselves but towards others. The ending results will be this. Everyone around you will notice. Praise God!
Rom 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Inner man or spiritual man inside of us)

The phrase from the scripture above “faith to faith” is the expression of growth.  Oh Yea! “ Faith to Faith” increase in knowledge and wisdom; same as going from 15 pounds to twenty-five pounds in weight. Halleluiah! We can also take the word “revealed” is another word for us to use as an expression of growth. How? His righteousness has been shown to us.  Wow!  See when we begin to talk about the word more and more we are growing and people will notice. Look at the phrase “The just shall live by faith.” This can also represent appearance. Give God some Glory! His word is working in our lives!

Col 1:9-15
(9)  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
(10)  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
(11)  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
(12)  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
(13)  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
(14)  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
(15)  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Then finally we can’t over do it.  What do I mean by this?  When we push too hard in a workout we can injure ourselves by pulling a muscle, tearing a tendon, and even actually making ourselves weaker.  We can be become tired and exhausted to where we can’t even lift the weights up. Our joints or muscles begin to ache. Remember some ache is good so we know we are progressing.  That means we know we are moving forward.

We get that same feeling when God’s word is applied in our life. When we push too hard in God’s word: we may get confused what the scripture is saying to us.  The enemy can twist the words on us by bring out other scriptures and don’t apply to us especially when we are trying to study the word when we mentally and psychically exhausted.  When we listen to too many other ministers whether; it is by books, audio messages or even video messages.  Some of those ministers are not even talking about the truth because; they themselves have a lack of understanding of the word. Some use trickier and deceive you for their benefits. The word of God should hurt us at times. When this happens we will truly know that we are growing. It’s called God stepping on our toes! Our pride gets broken and we will become humble.  Our hearts and minds will change from doing what is wrong to right and becoming blessed and highly favored from our Lord.

Think about these scriptures when we get weak and tired.

Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jas 1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Eph 4:14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Gal 1:6  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

When you make a good conscience and transformation the word begins to change our lives. It is a proven fact. Take a look at the scripture below.

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Are You Really Ready to Do the Works

This message was written from a question I asked God.  “Why do you always put us through a test?”

He replied to me with a question.  “Are you really ready to DO the WORKS that I called you to do?”

I expect you would reply like I did with two statements like these.  1)  “Yea Lord I am!” and being as truthful as you can be about it.  2) “Maybe I’m not considering you asked me that question.”

He said let’s look at Mark 4:35 – 5:20.  Everybody that’s been in this Christian walk knows this story.  The Lord took it a little deeper for me than most ordinary sermons would go.  This is the story when Jesus told his disciples to take him over to the other side and Jesus had calmed the storm.

I want to share a few things about this story as the Lord had shown me.  He said, “Look, Jason, I gave my people a lot of teaching and they saw many miracles.  The same I have done for you.  You got excited about that and thought I am ready for more Lord.  I am ready to go to the other side.  I want to begin to do those greater works.  Then a storm rose up in your face.  The same as the disciples did on the boat that day and that storm was great.

I want you to notice something just before they left.  Take a look at Mark 4:36 “And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships”.  Notice the other boats that followed.  The Lord spoke to me and said, “People are looking at you”.  They believed in all the good things you are performing in Jesus’ name just as you did about Jesus performing his works too.  They also wanted to see if you will eventually fail and stumble.  You see, they want to follow someone strong and know how to get through a storm.

That really opened my eyes a little deeper about being ready.  Then he said, “This was a strong storm”.  There was water filling up the boat up.  You could imagine how big and strong the waves were beating against the boat.  The winds had to be blowing hard and rocking the boat like crazy.  Then I also began to think about the hurricanes that hit across America and the damage from each storm.  I said this is a bad storm they are in.

This passage had remind me of a time on the Rio Grande river one summer fishing with my dad, uncle and my uncle’s father in law.  A big storm brewed up and we couldn’t see over the waves as we were trying to get back to the dock and it was putting water in the boat.  I remember bailing out the water inside the boat. It helped me relate to what they could have been thinking.  You see God uses everything to glorify his word working in your life.

And, then the Lord said, “Did you notice something interesting?”  I said no because I knew at that moment I was missing something important.  It was more than just lacking the faith to calm the storm.  “Did you notice how many disciples were in that boat with me” he asked?  I said twelve.  He said your right.   Notice twelve of them could not stop a storm.  They had to wake me up to calm it and I did. I needed to show them when you walk with me you face more challenges and they can get tougher especially when it comes time to do some of my works.

You see the disciples did not realize what they were about to face after this storm.  Read Mark 5:2 “ And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,”.

When you read about this man you can see two things.

1) The disciples are facing a real storm only this one is spiritual and it’s going to be a big storm. Why? This man is possessed with a spirit named Legion. Legion means many spirits.  How do we know this is true because of what Jesus asks in Mark 5:9 “And he asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many”.  Notice, what verse Mark 5:13 states “And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. ” Jason, the Lord said.  How many was there?  I said WOW! There were at least two thousand.  This is a “BIG STORM” I shouted in my mind.  I begin to think about those hurricanes again in the natural and all the elements that can be damaging such as high winds, tornados, flooding rains, severe lighting damages and other things that occurs during a hurricane.   This was like many spirits in one major storm.  Then I begin to realize that twelve disciples weren’t ready to take on something like this either.  That storm on the sea was a good warning I needed to be more prepared than I thought.

2), There are people who really are in a major storm in their lives, the Lord said to me.  What I want you to see Jason is going through a storm will teach you how to be sensitive and have compassion.  Why?  You will have an idea what a big storm may look like.  You may not know their storm right away until you face it with them.  You will at least understand their feelings and where they may need help at.

You will see three different views of storms.

    1) Those that don’t know me and need me in their lives.
    2) Those that walk with me, can’t find an answer to their storm, and tried everything.
    3) Those that walk with me and get through the storm with victory because of the working power of my word working in their lives.

Did you notice what happened to the twelve in Mark 4:41 “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” and Mark 5:15 “And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.”  The disciples were like wow he did this.  We can see how these disciples saw two different types of storms obeyed him.   Notice the first one was overcoming a storm in the natural and the second was overcoming the spiritual storm.  It’s important that we know his name and what kind of power and authority we have in his name to do the works he called us to do.

I want to finish with verses Mark 5:18-20 that even the demons obeyed him.  The ending shows us how Jesus was not only obeyed but also glorified.  Why?  Look at the words that the disciples used “And they feared exceedingly” and “and they were afraid”.   They just saw the power of this man and didn’t know what to think.

Allow the Lord bless you and enrich you to become a stronger Christian to be ready to do the works he called you to do.

A New Season - "Coming Out of Our Comfort Zone"

1/8/2018

This message is not about a New Year’s resolution.  It’s about being ready to go into something new at anytime. The Lord is ready to advance us to our promise land that he has promised us.  We all want something new or better to happen, not only in our lives, but in someone else’s life as well, right.  New beginnings (new season or new directions we are going in) are all about the Lord positioning us to enter into his promised land. Sometimes, entering into a new season can take us out of our comfort zone.  This seems to be a problem when it’s time for our new season to begin. We end up facing obstacles (problems) along the way.  Let’s look at a couple of journeys of coming out of a comfort zone to be able to enter the new season which lead to a promised land.  One Journey will be Moses getting the people out of Egypt. The second journey is that of  Joshua and Caleb when they were told to go see or spy out the land.
We all remember Moses and the burning bush.  Do you remember what God promised his people?  Take a look at Exodus 3:8 “And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites”.  Can you see this is going to be a new season not only for Moses but also for the Hebrew slaves that were in bondage to the Pharaoh?
What was the Hebrew’s new season? Trusting a man who lived under the Pharaoh and getting them out of the land of Egypt.  Many of us would have to ask, is this a trick, what is Moses up to.
What was Moses new season?  To help lead the Hebrew people into their new season, a life without bondage and to a land promised to them by God that was full of blessings.  This could only be accomplished by Moses coming out of his comfort zone. Look at Exodus 3:11 “And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
Can you see it “Who am I”.  Moses had to face the Pharaoh again even knowing he had killed an Egyptian soldier. He also had to gain trust among the Hebrews.  They knew that Moses had lived with the Pharaoh.
Let’s look at Moses’ uncomfortable situations of his new season.  Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”  Could you imagine telling someone at that time “I AM” told you this and expect them to believe you? The Lord comforts Moses with proof that the people shall believe. Exodus 4:1-4 “And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:” Does this sound like something we would do to ask for some kind of proof?  Do you think this comforted Moses?  Not fully.  Remember how Moses was uncomfortable about his stuttering speech?  Exodus 4:10 “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue”.  To me that would be very uncomfortable.  You know Moses had to be thinking I can’t even talk right, who would believe me or even have any confidence in me.  This sounds like us to me.  We have a tendency to see more negative than positive at times.  Think about the ten plagues that had to happen before they could even leave.  We can only imagine the frustrations upon the people.  One minute they are thinking we are getting out of here and then bam, now we’re not.  This had to be very uncomfortable for Moses.  We do the same thing when entering into our new season; we get uncomfortable. Now, let’s go back to Ex 3:8, I want to point out something before we go into Joshua and Caleb’s journey.  Exodus 3:8 “And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites”.   Do you see what I have underlined?  What does this means?  This means we are going to a new location and going to have to face new people, places, or things.  This means that for some people, it is going to take them out of their comfort zone.  Why?  Some people just don’t simply like changes.  Joshua and Caleb’s journey is about being part of the twelve spies  sent to spy out the promise land.  We will see how ten of them become uncomfortable because they took their minds off the promise and saw the giants instead of the grapes. Remember, Moses gave the people instructions on what to look for in Numbers 13:17-20 “And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;  And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes”.  These instructions point out that there could possibly be some uncomfortable situations ahead. Look at the word like strong or weak, fat or lean, therein or not, and live in tents or strong built places.  The truth is we are to see the good of the land and not be dismayed over the uncomfortable areas. I want to point out Numbers 13:25 “And they returned from searching of the land after forty days”.  Why is this so important?  They didn’t just drive through the main drag of town and make a decision.  They had time to evaluate everything that was in the land.  This reminds me when my wife first saw me - she got up and headed off to bed.  The Lord told her don’t judge that book by its cover.  My wife judged me by the clothes I was wearing and wasn’t going to give me the time or day to even to get to know me.  But, I somehow knew instantly she would be my wife. This means two things to me. 1) When we don’t open the bible, we can’t see the real promise when it is in front of us?  2) Opening the bible gives us the clues we need to know to overcome those areas that are out of our comfort zone. Open up the bible and begin to see the blessings unfold before your eyes.  Those 10 other spies caused a lot of problems.  Why?  They couldn’t see the truth and trust the one who was leading them through their new season.

The point is that the Lord is saying we will face giants, which is what we called trials and tribulations.  But, we can also see grapes.

In closing, Jesus wants us to understand today that no matter what appears to take us out of our comfort zone, we can enter into a new season focused and receive your blessings from your new season.  Be like Joshua and Caleb and those who believed in God.  Believe in Jesus.  Take a look at Joshua 3:9-10 “And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.  And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.” You see our broken comfort zone brings the testimony of just how awesome and powerful our God is.

It's time to Cross Your Jordan

11/25/2017

Do you have circumstances in your way that keep you from moving forward or getting ahead in the Lord?  This message from Joshua chapter three mirrors the parable of Matthew 21:21. The power of Jesus helps us to move mountains and overcome any obstacles in life, and Matthew 11:28 – 30 shows how these are overcome with the power of Jesus, and not by our own power either.  So many times we forget that we have him in our heart and his power working through us.
Join me in this message from the book of Joshua. We will study from chapter 3:4 & 3:14 -17.  But we are going to start in vs 14 then I am going to go back to verse 3:4 and at the end of this message I’ll explain why.
This is about having faith in Jesus so you can cross over your Jordan.  I started in verse 14 on purpose.  This beginning verse is very important.

Joshua 3:14
And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant before the people;
I want you to notice the bold and underlined statement here and read it again. This is telling us to pack your stuff, we’re getting out of our comfort zone, we are moving on.  This meant no more stop signs or walking into dead ends with problems.  You see, if you keep camping in the same spot too long you will never get passed your problems.
You have to get yourself up and start finding a way out of that situation. You have to face your problems and push through.  It’s like this, if you lose something, are you going to keep looking until you find it?  I know - how do we push through?  This is very important.  If Jesus is King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and is our High Priest, this makes him the one carrying the ark for us.  That is why I colored the word priests from the first verse I have given you.
Look at the rest of that verse and start going into the next verse after that.

Joshua 3:15
And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest
Notice the bold and underlined words here.  This says to me, we are carrying the ark spiritually if Jesus is in our hearts and he is representing the ark he is before us to clear our path.  That makes us priest with him in our situations.  This means we can put our feet in the brim of the water and he will begin to show us how to cross over our Jordan.
Why did we need to understand this?  Finish the verse out.  The Jordan was out of its bank, it was like a flood that had come through.  When we see flooding rivers, they are moving very fast.  This usually causes an alarm to not cross that river. It is going to take you down and has a strong possibility of taking you out.
This is where we come to our stop signs or dead end places. The truth is we need to finish what needs to be done for our lives to receive the promises of God.  The next verse will show how having Jesus in our heart and going before us gives us the power to conquer, to overcome, and be victorious in getting our promises of God.

Joshua 3:16
That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
The same thing here happened with Moses and the people crossing the Red Sea.  This means the Lord will clear a path for us. What I want you to see is that the Jordan is the same as the mountain in Matthew 21:21.  You notice in that verse he said be thou removed and cast down.  When we trust Jesus he begins to remove our problems and by casting down, we are actually putting his foot down on our problems.
Finally, our last verse is here.  Now we can cross our Jordan. This verse really excites me.

Joshua 3:17
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
Yes, the bold and underlined words again.  Here’s where we see the parallels of Matthew 11:28 -30.  Jesus said that basically his way is light and his path is easy.  When we hand the problem over to Jesus he makes the problem become light so we can get through.  We could have taken the path on ourselves and tried everything to make it across our Jordan’s and it would have been the difficult way.  Our way usually wears us down.  We would have been tired, weak, probably given up and brought our selves down to where the enemy could finish us off.  That is why our yoke is always heavy and His is light.
The ground had to be dry to be easy; if the ground would have still been wet it would have been much harder to cross.  Think about when you step into something really muddy; you begin to sink and start slipping.  That would have made it hard which is something we probably would have done.  Think about crossing over that muddy ground with a real true heavy yoke around our neck. This would have made it harder than just walking on the wet muddy ground on its own.  What gets me excited is that when we depend on him, it becomes so easy and we no longer have to work so hard at fixing our problems.  He will show you and guide you through your problems if you stop and listen to him.

This is the reason I saved Joshua 3:4 for the last.  Here’s what it says in Joshua 3:4
Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.

Why do I think this is important?  Sometimes we try to walk too fast and not listen.  We find ourselves getting ahead of God.  This means we give ourselves no time for him to prepare the way.  This is like going so fast and touching the Ark of the Covenant ourselves, which in the OT meant death.  We got foolish and did it our way.  So let’s take time to hear from him through his word to show us the way.

In His Service
Jason

Precept Upon Precept

“Precept upon Precept; Line upon Line” the Lord spoke to me.  I asked the Lord to reveal all that we needed to know about this and the word will be given unto your people.  He said, “Go back and read the scripture before Isaiah 28:10 and a couple after it.  I am going to have you look up the definition of the words precept and line.  [which, I put below the scriptures].  I will show you how to turn what looks bad into good applying this concept with other scriptures. You will then reach your promise land which is all my blessing.”
Let’s read Isaiah 28:9-12. We will break down each scripture and build it up from the concept of precept upon precept and line upon line.  We will call each scripture a phase, so we will have four phases.  I will make short statement about the ending of verse 9 and 12.  I am saving it for last because they are last in each scripture.
We are to build one another up, edify each other through the word of God, right?  The Lord will always show the truth to convict us and to change our heart, but he will not condemn us.  He uses conviction, not condemnation.  He points these things out to show us where we are weak, or how the enemy comes in on our situations or problems. Verse 9 may touch a soft spot; you’ll see why later.
Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
Here are the definitions of precept and line.

Definition of precept by Webster
1:  a command or principle intended especially as a general rule of action
2:  an order issued by legally constituted authority to a subordinate official

Definition of Line by Webster
1: a state of agreement or conformity: a state of order, control, or obedience

These definitions are to help us understand that every word and direction God takes us in is not only truth but, it has to be followed.  We also need to know that they are saying the same thing.  We will talk about that when we get to the scripture.  Let’s look at an example of precept upon precept, line upon line.
You generally don’t just jump up and say I can fly a plane and land it anywhere I want it to land.  Why?  We know that there is much more to it than just doing it.  We have to study the plane we want to fly.  You may even want to truly consider taking classes on the weather.  You just might want to get someone to teach and train you for all the things you need to learn about flying.  The truth is if we don’t do those things mentioned, we didn’t really apply precept upon precept or line upon line.   We are definitely not going to fly a plane very well, let alone land it by not doing this.  Well, the fact is that God’s word is the same.  His concept is to build us up stronger and stronger in his word and in our faith to believe and receive the promises of God through Jesus.  This very procedure will also give us the ability to minister to others with truth and conviction so that they can receive from the directing of the Holy Spirit just as we did.  This here, my friend, is getting us out of a bad situation- crashing our plane, and turning it for good- landing safely.

Phase 1 – Let’s talk about Isa 28:9:  “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.”
This scripture explains everything that is necessary to begin our growth.  “Whom shall he teach knowledge?”  He will teach those who want to receive.  Mat 4:19: “And he saith unto them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  Did you notice the words follow me?  We have to do this. We have to follow God. Why?  It’s the only way we are going to be taught.  Look at this verse in Exodus 20:3: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me."  This should tell us something as well.  It is very necessary to recognize that there is only one true living God that cares about us.  This says if we rely on any other gods, we will stumble and following the true God will become very difficult.
Now, notice the next statement of the same verse: “and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?” He will make those who want to receive knowledge to understand what his word says.  Let’s read Mat 6:33 and then we will break it down.  “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Read this verse again and realize what it is saying to us.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God.” He is saying follow me by seeking which means getting knowledge from him.  The seekers are the people that he will teach.
“And his righteousness,” This statement says that by taking on his righteousness, we will be able to understand what he is teaching us.  Why?  The Holy Spirit will be directing us towards the truth of his word that we have learned.  This is who will understand the doctrine, those that seek him and his word.
“And all these things shall be added unto you,” This is saying the word will work for us because he taught us by seeking after him and we have allowed the Holy Spirit to give us understanding.  It is added because we weaned our selves off of the milk.  Notice this scripture parallels with verse 9 of Isaiah.  You can now see precept upon precept and line upon line in these two verses by just wanting to follow him.
Now, for the last statement of verse 9, “them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts,” here is the tough spot I mentioned in the beginning.  We must pick up that bible and begin to read the word or it won’t work for us. The Lord wants us to conquer all things.  He is saying if we stay on the milk (depending on others) it will be difficult to obtain what he has in store for us.  He will give you a revelation and understanding to all areas of life.  This doesn’t mean ignore other ministers; he will use them to deepen something he has already taught you or he may make it clearer in other situations.  You see, the deeper understanding and pointing us in other directions will help us to help others.  Yes, us helping others.  This means you are now entering your mission field of ministry.
We must understand he is going to tug on those who have not even accepted Jesus to give them every opportunity to obtain this as well.  He tugged on us right? It’s no different for them.  Just as he wanted us to come back to him, he wants all his children to come back home to him as well.  This keeps us humble and allows us to help others.

Phase 2 - Isa 28:10: “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”
He wants us to see a few scriptures that will build us up about this precept upon precept, line upon line.  I also want to point out something else the lord said to me, “I had Isaiah repeat this over and over so we would learn how important understanding every word can be for obtaining your blessing from me.” This is what we do with our children.  We keep teaching with new ways of saying how to do something if they don’t understand it the first time.  We are no different with God’s word.  Here are those scriptures to see this concept in action.  I will let the scriptures speak for themselves for they are his words.

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Did you see precept upon precept, line upon line in these scriptures?  Every scripture says the same thing but, each one was said a little different.  Each of the books in the bible demonstrates line upon line and precept upon precept. He spoke and taught his word which is knowledge but, the minister who preached it to us and the conviction of the Holy Spirit leads us to understand it.  We are now weaned from the milk and have accepted what we call the meat of the word.  Now, you can tell someone this is true by your own conviction that the word does work.  Now, you have followed him, obtained his righteousness, good things will now be added, and you can spread the gospel.  WOW!  We have just grown right here and right now.  Isaiah 28:9-10, Matthew 4:19 and, Matthew 6:33 each demonstrate precept upon precept, line upon line.

Phase 3 - Isa 28:11: “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.”
This means we may not speak it very well or it may sound strange to someone but, God will get his message out with the conviction of the Holy Spirit and will draw them to him.  He will be able to give them the message and what is needed to be received.  Remember, Moses stuttered and his brother, Aaron, helped him to get the message out.

Phase 4 - Isa 28:12: “To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
This verse is all about how those who hear and receive his word will end up.  They will be in a place of rest.  When you enter into that rest, you will surely be refreshed.  The powerful thing is this, when we get worn down from all the things that have taken our rest from us, we can be restored in this rest by accepting his truth, understanding his truth, and working his truth in our life.  This means we are going to get rid of that bummed and tired life, turn it around and put it into an overcoming, victorious life.  Here is a second one that contains a bit of hardness to it.  Here, in the last part of verse 28, the Lord said through Isaiah, “yet they would not hear.”  Why?  Some are just going to be hard headed.  We were, too.  So, this doesn’t give us a right to be judgmental, it is a time to be a helper.  Look for the doors to be open to speak into the lives of those who need help.  The reason we need to do this is because Jesus did it for us.  He took every opportunity to get the word to us even when we didn’t want to hear it.  Next, everybody wants that better life but, to get that glorious life we have to look to, seek after, God’s word.

In closing, this precept upon precept, line upon line is very essential to our victorious life in Christ.  The scriptures are to be used as a sword so we can battle off the enemy’s attacks.  This is what was happening in Isaiah.  People had problems and had gone astray.  God used Isaiah to point them back in the right direction.

P.S.  The Lord moved on me and showed me something about “Matt 4: 19 Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
“Follow me” means those who will follow after him like it was mentioned in Phase 1 from this message. He only teaches those who will seek him.
“And I will make you fishers of men” has a 2 fold action meaning within the word fishers.
  1. “And I will make you fishers:” Jesus must first teach you his word before he can use you as a fisher of men.  His word will teach you how to fish for men.  Just like our story about the plane mentioned earlier.  To become a real fisher, you must learn about rods and reels, different types of fishing lines, how to put the line on the reel, understand the water conditions, bait, lures, and more.  This helps you to become that fisherman to catch fish and it will help you fish in salt water or fresh water.  Each of these items can tell you what type of fish you want to catch.  Jesus’ word will do the same for you to help others.

  2. “Fishers of men” Now that you become a fisherman you can catch fish.  The same application will work for you in helping God’s men, women, and children.  Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, will reveal his word to you. This will help you grow from the softer truths of his word, which is what is called the milk of the word, to stronger truths which is the meat of his word.  Jesus was a fisher for you.  He expects all of us to grow from the milk to the meat to become fishers of men for him.  You see once again precept upon precept, line upon line working in growing from the milk to the meat of the word. The more we seek and meditate the more God will reveal his word to us.

Author & Finisher

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith which is in Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  This should make a major impact for our lives.  I was thinking about this verse strong and heavily.  The Lord then revealed to me and told me to expound on Jesus being the author and finisher of our healing, ministry, relationships, our marriage, and most of all trusting in him.  We will discuss these few topics I have mentioned.  This list can go on and on.

How does Jesus become the author and finisher of our healing?  It was written we were healed by his stripes.  Take a look at Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.
Isa 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
1Pe 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

You see, he took on our healing by those stripes.  He authored a way to become healed.  When he took those stripes he absorbed all sicknesses and diseases through those open wounds so we could be healed.  I want to take it a step deeper, more than him just taking those stripes and being healed.  He took on our sins and transgressions.  I know!  What does this mean to you and me?  This means our sins, transgressions, and iniquities can all lead us to sickness or even death by those nasty diseases.  Then, he was chastised for our peace.  He was disciplined for those things, so we could obtain that healing as well as all of our sins to be forgiven.  How was Jesus the finisher then?  He was taken to that tree and died to bury those sickness and diseases from us.  He exchanged it for us to have healthy bodies.

You must understand our salvation brought us healing.  Why?  The Father authored it through his son so we could have ever lasting life if we believed he died and rose again.  That is why we confessed that he rose and died again for those very acts.  You can see that in Romans 10: 9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” and John 3:15-17 “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” this is very important to receiving our healing.   This leads us to Hebrews 5:9 “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” This very scripture proves he is the finisher of our healing and our redemption by taking away those sins through salvation.

Jesus is not the author of confusion.  If it were so he could not have healed us.  Look at 1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”.  I want you to notice “as in all churches of the saints”, this meant for anyone who is in the house of the true living God.  This proves he is the author and the finisher of our healing today.

How can we see this in our ministry?  Take a good strong look at Habakkuk 2:2-3 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.  Did you see it?  He is the author and finisher of our ministry.  How do we know?  He told us to write the vision, write it down meaning get it prepared in what you see and hear from him, and it will what?  Come.  I want you to also notice this “and not lie and it will not tarry”.  Why did I want to point that out?  He was not confused about what he has given you and also this meant he will finish it through you as long as you obey and do what he’s asked you to do.  This should help us ward off the enemy or anyone who attacks our ministry, because he was the author and finisher of that ministry to begin with.

How does relationships fit into this topic.  He actually commanded us to spread the gospel unto all the world, relating to whoever crossed our path.  Read Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” it should show that we have to establish relationships with others.  This means he authored it.  How did he finish it?  We now have friends with other people.  Take it a step further, read Acts 2:46-47 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”  He also commanded us to love our neighbor.  I will let you look that up.

Marriage, yes this, too.  He authored it by saying that Adam needed someone.  Look at the ending of Genesis 2:20 “And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him,” and look at what this help meet was called in Genesis 2:26 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.  Did you see it?  She was to be called a wife.  How do we know he is the finisher of marriage?  Look at the words “they shall be one flesh” this represents they shall be together forever; meaning it was a finished deal.  We also know that he was the author and finisher by telling us how each spouse is to treat each other in Ephesians 5:21-33.  Please go and read it.  This will help you to have a beautiful marriage.  You must understand this also, knowing this passage and all the other scriptures you learn about treating others will get you through those rough spots.  This is the very reason Jesus is the author and finisher to a true marriage.

Now, we will close with our relationship with Jesus and trusting in him.  We discussed he was not the author of confusion in the healing section.  What I do want to discuss are these two scriptures which clearly proves there was no confusion that he is the author and finisher of all areas of life.  John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” and Revelations 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”  What powerful verses!  Do you see how powerful and true this is?  And, this is stating that Jesus is the author and finisher.  How can this be?  In the beginning he was the word meaning he was the author.  The Word was with God meaning that God can’t and will not lie, which implies we are to trust him.  The Word was God which implies his word is final, meaning he is the finisher.  You will find this is the same in Revelations 1:8.  He is the beginning “author” and the ending “finisher”.

Like I said, this list could go on and on in many different areas of life.  The Lord told me to use these topics to get the point across that he is the author and finisher of our faith because it is thru faith that accomplishes our healing, ministry, relationships, marriage, and like I said in the beginning of this section we are to be trusting in him.

The Two Great Commandments Part 2

Picture
Here’s Part 2 of “The Two Great Commandments”.  The second commandment Matthew 22:39 “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”.   Why is it important to you and me?  It’s about being set free from all effects of sin. There are four basic concepts of being set free: being a caring and likeable person (an attitude towards someone), overlooking (overlook faults; not about forgiveness at this point), healing (how it is for us, family and friends), and finally, total forgiveness.  The list could go on and on.  Jesus showed us how to be set free by loving his neighbor as himself.  How?  Jesus performed such actions.  You see, Jesus lived a sin free life.  He understood and knew how victorious life was to be by living out that testimony of a sinless life and through his death, taking on our sins, he made it very clear that we were forgiven.  I believe we need to come to the same understanding.  I want to close out with two things: a passage in Leviticus that supports the second commandment and how Part 2 works with Part 1.

Here are the four concepts.
Being a caring and likable person – This is a display of attitude towards someone. Caring is serving people and likeable is being accepted, receivable and not condemning.  Jesus served and demonstrated his love by not judging his neighbor.  Jesus was set free by living the standard of these two verses: “Mat 7:2 - For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”  Jas 5:9 – “Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.”  Remember the old saying “What Would Jesus Do”; he served and cared for his people.  We need to apply that application to our lives.
Overlooking – Don’t focus on the negative in people.  Overlooking here is not total forgiveness it’s about completely seeing past their problems and guiding them to a better life.  Jesus overlooked our problems (our sinful nature), turned it into good fruit that lead to repentance (being set free), and becoming his disciples (as himself).  Overlook our neighbors’ problems and turn it into good fruits.  So, they can be set free of sin through Jesus and help advance Jesus’ kingdom.  Jesus over looked our stumbling blocks and built a path way that removed all things that would stop us from receiving him and our blessings.  Isa 57:14 – “And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.”  We are to overlook and pave a way for our neighbor.  This creates an open door to set our neighbors free.

Healing – We read about Jesus performing healings; also notice he was never sick. Why? Because he lived a sinless life but also he offered healing to us.   We are healed through him.  1Pe 2:24 – “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”  If we fully receive this we are free of sickness as well.  He then told us to lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.  Jas 5:14-15 – “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”  How did this work?  He extended his love to us and we are now extending his love through us so they can receive the same healing from Jesus.

Forgiveness – The Father already knew that we needed forgiveness.  How?  He sent his son for us and wanted us to believe on him:  Joh 3:15-17 – “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”  He sent his son to free us from sin.  Jesus saw this coming, read:  Mar 14:4 – “And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.”  He was handed over by sinners and when he went to the cross he forgave us anyways.  All we have to do is read and do what this verse says and be set free of sin:  Rom 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  We should be spreading this confession to our neighbors.  Now, this shows us that loving our neighbor will help us (receiving Jesus) and them to be set free (extending his invitation through us on his behalf).

Here is the passage out of Leviticus that supports the second commandment: Lev 19:33-34 “And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.  But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”
Can you see “Love thy neighbor”, “How it set us free” in the four basic concepts?  Look at verse 33 “you shall not vex him” which means don’t hurt them; you help them.  This establishes loving thy neighbor as our self as you can see in verse 34.

Here is the thing “Jesus knew no sin; so, he was free of sin”.  By accepting Jesus and having him in our heart causes the Father to no longer see our sins.  Jesus loved us (his neighbor) by taking on and covering our sins with his death.  Remember this; Jesus was man showing us the power of truth from Part 1 to being set free in all areas of life by loving our neighbor as ourselves in Part2.  He was guiding and training us to be set free through his power so we could pass it on.

The Two Great Commandments Part 1

Picture
The two great commandments that Jesus left us with when asked what is the greatest of all the commandments is in
Matt 22: 36-40.  Let’s look at the passage and refresh what it says.

Matt 22: 36-40.
      (36)  Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
      (37)  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
      (38)  This is the first and great commandment.
      (39)  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
      (40)  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

There is so much to write about this.  So, this will be a two part series.  Part one with the first commandment and part two with the second commandment.  I am going to just simply bring out the two commandments with valid truths as the Holy Spirit showed me.  Starting with the first commandment, I am going to show four basic scriptures to be proven so true.  Like, I said I could write so much more.  These four truths are going to prove we have his power, love conquers all, the word does strengthen us, and it sets us free to be true.

Let’s talk about the first commandment Matthew 22: 37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
  •  Power is within us. How do we know the power is in us?  Look at these scriptures. Joh 15:9  As the Father has loved me, so   have I loved you. Abide in my love.  Joh 15:10  If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.  You see abiding in him gives us the same access as Jesus did to the Father; only we go through Jesus’ name.  This means we really do live a truly victorious life.  Jesus’ life was what?  It was victorious in all areas.  Abiding in Jesus’ name causes us to abide in the Father’s power which causes us to be victorious in our lives.
  •  Love does conquer all things for us, 1Co 13:7, [Love] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  Jesus is love and it did conquer all things. He did this because he obtained the fruit of the Spirit.  When you look at the fruit of the spirit they all obtain the characteristics, power and the nature of love.
  • Love really does strengthen us in all areas of life, Php 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  This goes with the full armor of God and he meditated on the word.  Each piece of the armor strengthens us to become stronger and stronger.  Jesus definitely had the full armor of God on.  He believed in every word the Father said.  He truly stood on Joshua 1: 8 and this caused him to prosper in every area.
  • Love does set us free, Luk 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.  He was free because he had forgiven us for all our sins.  He backed up his word on Mat 6:14  “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” which tells us we can be set free through forgiveness as well.

The point is this, if we have truly accepted Jesus as our savior, he abides in us the same way, THE SAME WAY, as he abided in the Father.  My wife got excited about this part. To her, the same way meant having Jesus' name, his authority, with his results.  Amen. Remember, Jesus was man when he walked on earth.  He was a willing vessel to do the Fathers works just as we are to do.  So, Jesus had the power in him, able to conquer all things, be strengthened by the Father to accomplish it, and was set free by forgiving what we did to him.  Jesus entered into his rightful place in the fullest.  This means we can enter into our rightful place in the fullest.

I will close out with this short passage from 1 Jn 4:15-17.

1Jn 4:15-17
     (15)  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
     (16)  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
     (17)  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Get to know Jesus as your savior, call on his name to repent and forgive so that you can enter in your rightful place here and now.  Go to our salvation link and obtain all this.

We Need Noble Men

We Need Noble Men
How do we become noble men for God?  We must take a stand by honoring him and attending church as much as possible.  The Lord does know that from time to time we do miss church by doing his works.  These things are considered as being the church to those who need ministered to such as the sick, lost, and other types of ministry.  He also knows sometimes we have family issues that come up but he really wants us to be there every time the doors are open.  The Lord has given me several scriptures to become noble for him.

He wants us to be noble so that he can use us when needed.
  1. Acts 17:11 By going to church and be ready to hear from God with a sound mind and also search the word daily.
  2. Psalms 19:9 To have respect of Gods ways in his word.
    1. His way is always pure and true, it will keep us true to ourselves and help us to be humble.
    2. His judgement always gives us a complete conviction to stay righteous.
  3.  Matt. 5:43- 48 Having a good attitude and loving everybody.  This can be hard to do but we need to make sure that we love everybody so we can help them out.  This is what the Father does for us.  That is why he gave his son to help those who are in need of help.  We should never mistreat anyone, simply because we needed help ourselves.
  4. Joshua 1:8 Having the word in you at all times help you to be receptive to the truth.
    1. We accomplish this by study his word as often as we can.  This strengths us to be able to speak his word in a way that people can receive the truth.
    2. Seek the truth and seek it honestly.
Don't just read the bible quickly.  Mediate on a verse or entire passage to get some real revelation of the power of those words.  Meditating will make the truth of God's words come out with conviction power.  Do this consistently and you will see the word works.
    3. Committed to the truth.
This means do it daily and perform it daily so you can be prosperous and help others prosper.  Being committed will make you have good success God's way.  Don't be one who compromises the word.  This will take the truth away.  It will certainly show how uncommitted you are about being a noble person.
  5. Deut. 15:7-11 Be concerned about the welfare of others, give open arms and have no evil or wicked thoughts (Col 1:9)  Watch how our expressions and emotions come out to some one.  I had to learn this the hard way.  I have always been a straight face - no emotions - no expressions and always looking mad or upset.  When you got to know me you realized I am actually a person who would be concerned about you.  Wrongful emotions and expression steals the true joy of Jesus living inside of us.
  6. Col. 1:9 Helpful and always ministering to others by getting them saved and filled with the knowledge of his will in all things such as wisdom and spiritual understanding.  You can really show this by being genuine in praying for others, even those that hurt you.  This is a true test of becoming a noble person.
  7. Psalms 112:7-9, Heb. 13:9 Having a heart of courage.  Let them know that you're protected from evil doing by establishing the truth that you have Jesus working inside of you.  This will help people from thinking that you may want to harm them.
  8. James 1:19-20 Having our temper under control as nobles we can’t be quick to anger.  This will cause damage to your character of being a true noble men.  It will most definitely cause others to mistrust you and make you appear as an enemy to those you are truly trying to help.

Point to Remember
To fulfill the call on our lives, we need to hold integrity in our lives.  This is what this message is about.  We have to have the agape love working in us.  These are just some good examples to begin our walk as a noble person.

I pray that this message will help put you back on track to become that noble person again.

Keep Your Eye on the Prize

No matter how hard the struggle seems, never take your eyes of the prize. Our paths have many decisions to make. God wanted the Israelites’ to be able to have faith in Him.  He wanted them to go in and take the promise land.  This was the land he promised to their forefathers.   So, they had chosen twelve spies to go in and spy on the land.  They were to bring a report back on what they saw. They were also to bring back evidence of the land.  In this teaching, I want to share a few points the Lord presented to me and also to show you how important any type of prosperity is to you.

Let’s look at Numbers Chapter 13.
We’re going to start with verses 17-19.  These verses represent being observant in what is going on around you.  You can see the good, bad, and right down to the ugly of things at times.  Please read these verses they will help you understand what to look for.  The point of this is to look for the good and Jesus will help you through the bad and ugly and also send us the comforter.  We do live in the fleshly state at this moment.  So we do see the bad and ugly no matter where we go.

This next verse is a very important verse.  Let’s take a look at verse 20.
   1)   Be ye of good courage (Have the strength to lay hold of the prize which is the promise.)
   2)   Bring fruit of the Land (This means to take possession of the things in the promise, take it back to and share it with others so they can see that it is the promise land.)
   3)   Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes. (This is so important.  When God shows you to take hold of it, share it because it is in season for you to claim it.)

Now verses 21- 24 show that they went in and looked at the land and observed the surroundings of the area and got the fruit of that land.  So they accomplished so far verses 17-20. Let’s look back at verse 23 notice the blessing was overwhelming.  When you enter in that place of promise,  blessing should be overflowing.  Watch and see how they testify what the Lord had told them as well as bringing the proof.

Verse 25-27 shows how they presented the report to the people.  They also showed the fruit of that land.  They even saw just how blessed that land was.  It was the Lord who told them it’s a land of milk and honey.  I want you to look at verse 27; they sought the land and they focused on what was there.  They seen it had everything they needed to posses what it had. There is a warning coming up soon so you must continue to read on.

Verses 28 – 29 they decided to look at all the wrong circumstances.  All the other things caused them to walk away from this. Notice in verse 27 they talked about how the city is great and then going into 29 how the people were of enemies.  The promise of the Lord is that the enemy can’t defeat us if he told us to conquer it.

Verse 30 this is how we should be taking a stand and get what all God has to OFFER YOU, the total package of prosperity in every area in your life.  Gods Word translation of the bible it states in Num 13:30 that Caleb told the people to be quiet and listen to Moses. Caleb said, "Let's go now and take possession of the land. We should be more than able to conquer it."

My daughter Magen made a profound statement, “Why would you risk the chances of Jesus not being in your heart? By the time the rapture comes it could be too late to change your mind about having him in your life.”  This is important because it parallels with the meaning of this message if you risk getting your promise land it could be to late.

Psalms 25 12 – 15.  This is a set of scriptures for you to learn that the Lord does respect those who respect Him.  It also so show much He loves you so that your seed can inherit that promise land.

In His Service,
Jason

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the beginning process of loving yourself, so you can love your neighbor.  This also shows respect unto the Lord.  You are showing your love unto him, then He can teach you the way of the truth and light about yourself.

Mat 22:37-39
(37)Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(38)This is the first and great commandment.
(39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

The Lord showed me something about areas of unforgiving issues about someone or something that has happened back in time and forgotten about, then all of the sudden it reappears again while walking with the Lord.  Most of the time it’s not having a full understanding of the person you are speaking to or the issue at hand.  This means we do have some hidden unforgiving areas in our hearts.  When those areas are fixed we become true to our self.  When we become true to our self we began to love our self.  This causes us to love our neighbors better.  For the neighbor you have ought with may not receive the forgiveness right away but you still continue to pray for them.

Mark 11:25
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mat 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you
And show them no harm.

Lev 19:33-34
(33) And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
(34)  But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Just remember the Father forgave us first by sending his son for us so our sins can be forgiven.  Jesus sent us the Comforter (Holy Spirit).

Cause it to Happen

Recently, the Lord spoke to me about the advancement of this ministry.  He said, “Don’t wait to see it, cause it to happen.”  I knew right from that moment what He was talking about.  Often, we want to see the signs, miracles, and wonders first so we can believe it.  We forget that we can make miracles happen.  Don’t shout me down, stop and think.  We’ll look at examples of Jesus and another person.  Then we’ll look at what we are to do as servants of God.  Let’s see what was accomplished when it was assigned.
The first thing that came across my mind after recognizing the people and what they did to make it happen was the old saying, “despise not small beginnings” and “taking care of the small things to get to do the bigger things.”

My point is that when we do nothing we’re creating nothing to happen.  Here’s the list of examples.

Heavenly Father:
Genesis 1:3
(3)  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
When they said, let’s make man in our image, He shaped and molded us in the dust and breathed life into us.

Genesis 2:7
(7)  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
You see this is a miracle but He caused what He said to happen.  Of course, His list could go on and on.

Jesus:
Mark 8:22-25
(22)  And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
(23)  And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
(24)  And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
(25)  After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
What happened when Jesus called the blind man forth?  He did something to cause a miracle to happen.  Like God, Jesus’ list could go on and on.

Moses:
The first example I want to show you of a biblical person is Moses.  God gave him instructions to cross the Red Sea.  Watch what happens when Moses is obedient.  Here’s the scripture:
Exodus 14:15-16
(15)  And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
(16)  But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
The miracle was performed by Moses’ action; the action was to lift up the rod.  He performed an assignment that God gave to him to do.  Let’s move on.

We as Servants:
God gives instructions by giving us knowledge and wisdom.  Proverbs 1: 7 says,
Proverbs 1:7
(7)  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

We are instructed by God to do the same works as Jesus.

The key, of course, is to believe in Him first.
John 14:12
(12)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

We want this ministry to be a happening thing.  Not a sit and see thing.  Things can only be done by doing something to make it happen.  The scripture above is the same as Jesus saying follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 4:18-19
(18)  And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
(19)  And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Now, we have talked about God, Jesus, and Moses.  I would like for you to put your name in this list and begin to see yourself as a worker for the Lord and see what you and Jesus can cause to happen.  This is co-ruling and co-reigning with the Lord Jesus.  This is taking your place in royalty according to Ephesians 2: 6.  Look it up.

Dedicated & Disciplined

Want to defeat those strongholds? Be dedicated and disciplined. This will bring signs/wonders/miracles into your situation to turn it around. Fasting and praying can help in many situations or challenges we face.

Mark 9: 17-29 Tells the story of a young boy who has had a deaf and dumb spirit demon since he was but a young child.  Some disciples of Jesus could not get rid of the demonic spirit and questioned Jesus about it.

In verse 29 we read:
“And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

We know this passage is about an evil spirit in a boy.  But you can apply this in other areas of life as well.  Anything that has a stronghold in darkness is not of God and it is not good.  Sometimes these strongholds can be an attack of sickness, addictions of any kind that can be harming you or someone else, low level mind sets such as depression/low self esteem, and many other things that can come against us.

Look at this verse Mark 11:23:
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
The word mountain can be used as the word stronghold.  It is a darkness or problem in your life that is standing in the way.  The thing I want you to understand is that it may take a lot of praying and fasting to defeat such strongholds that may be on us or someone we care about.  To be dedicated and disciplined means you should be very active in God’s word and put it into action. In other words, live it- live the word!  This means it could be everyday up to 2 to 3 times a day until you see the breakthrough. As an added note, it wouldn't hurt to make a regular habit of fasting and praying.

Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

When you look to God for help and the answers you need, he will show you how to be dedicated and disciplined to
overcome all of your battles.  This strengthens you so that God can use you to help others overcome their battles.

In his service

The New Breastplate Within Us

8/18/2015

The Old Covenant, Aaron wore the breastplate of righteousness to represent the twelve tribes of Judah when entering into the holy place.  It was to be a reminder unto God these were his people.  This was to make sure that it was his responsibility to provide and protect his people.  It also represented a place of forgiveness to the Lord.  So he would only see the good in his people.  The breastplate was also placed by the heart to represent where Jesus should be within you.

Ex.  28:29

And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
I would like to share with you about the new breast plate placed inside of us.  When you make Jesus Lord of your life the new breastplate has been placed in your heart.  You have then been accepted in with great love.  The reason is he accepts you right where you are at (how your heart is towards the Lord).  This is the Fathers grace bestowed upon you.  Take a look at the scripture below.
Eph 1:6
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
I would like to take time to share with you why he takes you right where we are at.  Look at these scriptures.
Jer 18:1-4
(1)  The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
(2)  Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
(3)  Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
(4)  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
You see in verse 4 he will make the changes in you.  He will see it is for your best. He will no longer see the old in you.  He will just look at the breastplate like Aaron wore into the Temple of the most high.  He only sees the new and good things in you.  This means he accepts us for who we are and transforms us into someone better.
The second thing I want to mention about the new breastplate is that we’re a sweet smelling savour unto the Father.  How can this be so?  Well if you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord Savior then you carry the same aroma as the Lord Jesus.   This is what the Father smelt when his son died on the Cross for you and me.  Once again when you accepted his son, he smells that same aroma on you.  Look at the Scripture below and see how his son was sweet smelling to him.
Eph 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
We now see how we have the new breastplate within us.
Allow yourself to have that new covenant inside of you.  He will accept you right where you are at in life and make all the necessary changes in you if you will accept his ways.  People will recognize those changes in you as you walk out salvation daily.
