![]() The Old Covenant, Aaron wore the breastplate of righteousness to represent the twelve tribes of Judah when entering into the holy place. It was to be a reminder unto God these were his people. This was to make sure that it was his responsibility to provide and protect his people. It also represented a place of forgiveness to the Lord. So he would only see the good in his people. The breastplate was also placed by the heart to represent where Jesus should be within you. Ex. 28:29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. I would like to share with you about the new breast plate placed inside of us. When you make Jesus Lord of your life the new breastplate has been placed in your heart. You have then been accepted in with great love. The reason is he accepts you right where you are at (how your heart is towards the Lord). This is the Fathers grace bestowed upon you. Take a look at the scripture below. Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. I would like to take time to share with you why he takes you right where we are at. Look at these scriptures. Jer 18:1-4 (1) The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, (2) Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. (3) Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. (4) And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. You see in verse 4 he will make the changes in you. He will see it is for your best. He will no longer see the old in you. He will just look at the breastplate like Aaron wore into the Temple of the most high. He only sees the new and good things in you. This means he accepts us for who we are and transforms us into someone better. The second thing I want to mention about the new breastplate is that we’re a sweet smelling savour unto the Father. How can this be so? Well if you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord Savior then you carry the same aroma as the Lord Jesus. This is what the Father smelt when his son died on the Cross for you and me. Once again when you accepted his son, he smells that same aroma on you. Look at the Scripture below and see how his son was sweet smelling to him. Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. We now see how we have the new breastplate within us. Allow yourself to have that new covenant inside of you. He will accept you right where you are at in life and make all the necessary changes in you if you will accept his ways. People will recognize those changes in you as you walk out salvation daily.
