![]() Establishing Your Kingdom What is this established kingdom that we should live in? How can we establish a Godly kingdom especially after being saved? We can see this established kingdom in 2 Chronicles 14: 1-7. This message will also lead us to salvation if we take it to heart. Why? We are actually looking for this type of kingdom working in our lives and that peace to be active in our lives. Through this teaching we’re going to learn how to build that true kingdom. God wanted this kingdom to be active in our lives. This message is actually lived out by our Lord Jesus when he walking here on earth during his ministry. What an example we have! Remember Jesus’ example is the kingdom of God working in his life and to help others as well. In other words it’s just like the saying “PAY IT FORWARD”. Yes this is capitalized because this is our mission “SPREADING THE GOSPEL” just as Jesus did right! According to Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This message will also bring out purity in our lives. This purity can bring our blessing from God to prosper in mighty ways. This message is how Asa brought peace and most of all establishing the kingdom that we should live in. To build this kingdom we need to establish “Peace and Quiet” in our lives. Peace and quiet can only come by removing anything that misdirects us from being in touch or (in or out) of the will of our Father that is in heaven. We need to make certain we remove all things that keep our eyes and actions from see Jesus and walking in the same light as Jesus did. Let’s take a look at what is says in 2 Chronicles 14 1-3: “1) So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years. 2) And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God: 3) For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:”. The biggest thing we need to see is Asa had quiet for ten years. WOW! Don’t know how others feel but ten years is a long time. That meant there wasn’t drama going on like we have today. HINT! That’s exactly the type of kingdom or surrounding we want to live in. How can this be so? Go back and read verse two and three again. Asa actions were God’s way of living by doing what is good and right. We must serve the one and only true God and start tossing all the other gods, idols, and sorry to say it but any good luck charms. YES! This means throw them away. Let’s start reading our bible and studying out what is right and wrong in our Father’s eyes. Start by follow the ten commandments (Exodus 20: 1-17) that God gave Moses and the two commandments Jesus left us (Matthew 22:37-40). These are our major guidelines to establish that peace within us and our surroundings. All this will start building that kingdom we really want to live in. Can we see salvation right here? Are answer should be “YES” we can! Why? This is exactly what we are doing when we come forward to our Lord. We want peace and quiet and wanting changes in our lives. We have come to terms that our way is not working. We are admitting that we need something bigger and better than what we can do. Here’s the “HARD” part. What’s the hard part for us? Don’t worry Asa had to do this and Jesus was doing the same thing when he was doing his ministry here on earth. Trying to get others to do the same thing they were doing. That was trying to build a kingdom and spread the blessings that God wanted us to have. Take a look at 2 Chronicles 14: 4-5 4) And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment. 5) Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him. For those of us who are trying to work Mark 16:15 be encouraged and look at 1 Corinthians 3: 6-9. Why? Some planted others watered and God will increase it. Wow! Our father is paying attention to our works. So now we can finish seeing in verse six 6) And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest how Asa had rest and so did the rest. But most importantly notice the underline section. What’s important about this? HINT! “No wars” in our terms “NO DRAMA”! What is next is vitally important to building that kind of kingdom we want to establish. Let’s read 2 Chronicles 14:7 “Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.” We will break this down in seven sections. These seven sections will give us a strong starting point on establishing our “Godly Kingdom” and helping others to build their kingdom as well. Here we go! Let us build these cities: Remember it’s up to us to build our kingdom after we are saved and began learning more and more of our Lords word. Don’t forget what Mark 16:15 says we (you) are to preach the Gospel. This means we have authority through the name of Jesus to construct (to prophesy) and build (claim) God’s kingdom in our lives and to those whom we need to help. Most importantly is that we establish building that kingdom in our lives so others will follow. You see the word cities in this phrase? Take the word cities and apply it to being other people. Walls: What can the walls represent? It can at least represent two things with similar meanings.
Towers: What do the towers represent to us? This is our communication to the Trinity. Yes the Trinity!
Gates: What’s so unique about the gates? First our gates work much better if our salvation is complete. Second our towers (our communication) is working as discussed above will help with the gates. They represent whether we should open the door and go through or do we actually keep it closed. See if we open the door at the wrong time things will have a very strong possibility of not running smooth. We want to open the door at the right time. When we do! Things will run smoothly unless we start taking control of things. What does these mean? We decide to get ahead of God; assume it will be okay to cut this corner or that one. The gates represent the path of the Father’s will in our life. He will close a door to protect us or open one to advance us. You see this is protecting and promoting the kingdom we are trying to help God establish here on earth. Bars: What is so valuable about the bars? Let’s look at it from this prospective. Bars are like windows. It gives us the vantage to see ahead. NO! This is not like witch craft, tarot cards, palm readings and etc. This means the same as looking out that window. We’re not going to go outside if we see a mass shooting going on or any other danger happening. RIGHT! We’re only going to go out the door if we see it’s clear and safe to go outside. This can help us on the timing of opening or closing that gate. Now! We can see how our communication gap with the Trinity needs to be open. Note: Don’t misunderstand there is a time we just have to open that gate as the Lord directs us and trust him 100 percent everything is okay. There are times when we need to use our wisdom and knowledge on how to make that advancement too. The bars (windows) are helping to protect our established kingdom we are building. Because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side: Can we see something that is “VERY” important here? Notice Asa said we (all) have sought the Lord twice. Communication! Communication! Yes! Communication is very important. Can we see where this leads them too? “REST”! On every side! This is saying the same thing as “Quiet”. Take a look at those words on every side. This represents a protection like on a circle or even a compass. Meaning his protection is 360 degrees or even expanding it to 24 hrs a day seven a week throughout our walk with him. Read the rest of the Chapter to see how God helps protect and establishes his kingdom. Most of all read this verse from Chapter 15: 2 “And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you”. He said he will never leave us nor forsake us which is found but if we cut out him it will be hard for him to help us. Take time out and research out the word forsake especially all the scriptures that can apply to this message. Note: make certain to read the full passage on the word forsake not just the verse. This is to help us get that clear understanding how important it is to keep that open communication to establish that kingdom we are to have.
