![]() The Lord has been dealing with me about being in my promised land for the past few years. I know, what does this have to do with a kickstand on a motorcycle? When a motorcycle is on its kickstand it’s positioned upright not leaning up against a wall trying to hold itself up from falling over. NO, it’s in an upright position and it looks like its resting. You should be in the same position. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” I am not saying some strong heavy winds can’t blow it over or the ground gives out from under it and causes it to fall over. You can’t rule out some jerk messing with it either. The point is we all know that the enemy tries to cross the line. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” As a motorcycle owner your objective is to take care of that motorcycle to the best of your ability by placing it in the best position possible protecting it from falling over or being messed with. The Lord wants you to be positioned in that place. Ephesians 2:6-7 6) “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” That’s being positioned in the promised land. Another important factor about a motorcycle’s kickstand is that it’s waiting for the driver to get on, kick up that kickstand, starting it up, and leading the motorcycle where the driver needs to go. Waiting on the driver is important. We should be in a position of waiting on our driver to lead us. Lamentations 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” Again, the motorcycle may get the driver to their destination and back by riding it, but the driver leads it, not the motorcycle itself. Genesis 28:15 “And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.” Please, wait on the Lord and let him set up your plan of position and reveal it to you. Psalm 25:12-14 12) “What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13) His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14) The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.” It’s simply so amazing what the word can do for you by letting the driver (the word of God) plan your trip, so that His execution goes well for you. It’s never wrong to be in a position of letting God plan and execute for you today. Now, when the driver has returned back to his original place or comes to a special stopping point before returning back, the motorcycle is positioned back on it’s kickstand until it’s used again. This cycle get’s repeated each time the driver uses the motorcycle. I believe we should be doing the same thing; kick back and wait until the next plan is revealed. Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Why is this verse so encouraging? Waiting on the Lord helps restore you back into your peaceful position. It may be a strange way of looking at it, but a motorcycle needs an opportunity to stop and cool down for a lesser chance of a breakdown. It’s like being re-strengthened. Call me crazy, but I see a parallel in this. Now, the motorcycle is definitely placed back into its peaceful position when that happens. Oh! What a position to be in, especially when it comes to being in your promised land loaded with full blessings. You can get out of position by getting ahead of God right along with falling behind. Oh my, what a big mess that can be. I don’t know about you. My own experiences tell me this isn’t a good position to be in. Here’s why from amotorcycle stand point? The motorcycle is no longer on its kickstand or in a proper position when an accident occurs. Let’s look at a few issues while riding a motorcycle. Trying to get ahead can cause you to speed and lean too much on your motorcycle, which causes the motorcycle to slide out from under you while taking a curve or possibly passing someone and causing a bad spill or accident. Now, you and your motorcycle aren’t in an upright position anymore. Let’s look at an issue where two problems take place at once. One is when a throttle gets stuck wide open, and second, your brakes go out at the same time. It would be hard to make a quick stop when danger popped up. I think we’re doing the same thing with the Lord by not releasing our throttle and not applying the brakes to slow down and see what we’re to do next. Stop and absorb this for a moment before you absorb an injury by hitting something and being thrown off of your motorcycle. Sliding down the highway could lead to a premature death. Hopefully that will not be the case that we will face. These two situations fit 2 Corinthians 1:9-10 9) “But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10) Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;” Stop fooling around! Slow down and turn back to him, but don’t slow down too much, or you’ll find yourself delaying in what God has entrusted you to do for him. You have to take care of your motorcycle or it won’t take care of you. Riding your motorcycle hard and rough will wear out parts prematurely. Then you’re falling behind from mechanical problems. Uh – oh, not good, just because you’re in upright position doesn’t mean you’re not in a restful place from deceiving yourself or pulling away too far from God. Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” I am not trying to throw you off of your full position, but consider this thought. It does open doors for attacks when you compromise your position by executing a wrong route. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Don’t deceive yourself anymore get back into position so God can carry out His plans for you as you journey through your promised land. This includes your family, if you have a family. I want to leave you in a position of peace and rest so you can see your victory 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 57) “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

![]() Road signs will give us the indication we can move safely forward. Some road signs are about giving us a warning we’re about to face. That’s how specific road signs are meant to be. Not any road sign should be taken for granite such as an attitude like “oh, it will be okay to do it this time.” It means exactly what it says, so ignoring them is not an option whatsoever. What can happen if we ignore these road signs? A ticket can be served or a possible wreck that will raise insurance rates. There are so many variables that can go into failing to obey any road sign, especially those that prevent us from getting into danger. Road signs were meant for us to agree with them for our own safety, or to come into agreement with. Road signs remind me of 1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” Now what does this have to do with Christians? Before we get started in this, we must remember, if we don’t agree with God’s word and how blessings or curses work; how can we show any one else? Look at Habakkuk 1:4 “Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.” Can we see a problem here? This is to remind us to stop confusing what is right and what is wrong. This verse is telling us it can cause many to stumble or possibly even get someone hurt. Now, let’s look at this from a perspective of an agreement and how it can also relate to loving our neighbor or not loving them? We already know loving our neighbor is a commandment. Yes, this can be compared to following a road sign, too. When we ignore love it’s like breaking the law of safety for others. We must realize how this can affect our friendship or relationship with someone. Let’s look at Romans 13:9. The overall scripture is about following the Ten Commandments. What I have done is put in a contrast in parenthesis when we ignore warning signs and how it takes a toll on a true friendship. It’s that important to be aware of the signs to stabilize that friendship or relationship. Romans 13:9 “For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery (Ignored a no left turn sign and committed adultery anyways.), Thou shalt not kill (Ignored a no right turn sign and committed violence.), Thou shalt not steal (Totally ignored a do not enter sign.), Thou shalt not bear false witness (Made an improper u-turn on a friend.), Thou shalt not covet (Voided a stop sign to gain something out of lust.); and if there be any other commandment (avoiding a one way sign. God’s commandments are a one way direction. It’s either right or its wrong.), it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” So, when we break the road signs we’re not in unity and can’t come into an agreement for our safety as with those who we hurt. The blessings of following the road signs is being free from tickets, lawsuits from someone, and insurance rates going up or any other problems involved with being disobedient of a road sign, in our case it’s the word of God. So, how can we be perfectly joined together relating to the word agreement? Romans 13:10 “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour (following the proper road signs prevents us from having any ought against a brethren): therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Makes it easier for others to see the love of Christ that’s in us towards others).” Can it affect a group, too? Yes, it can happen to groups. When part of a group chooses to go one way and another group chooses to go into a different way, this creates mass confusion in the original group. That’s why we see people leaving a group and starting a new one. We see an example of this in the bible. When the twelve spies go and spy out the promise land. Only two spies ended up believing it was the promise land. The report of the other ten spies claimed it was impossible and wasn’t in an agreement. Numbers 14:2 “And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!” Division has now taken place among the people. Numbers 14:4 “And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.” This is so sad to see a group of believers coming against each other instead of holding on to faith together. Moses, Aaron, Joshua and Caleb were the ones who represented a unity of agreement. Numbers 14:5-6 5) “Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel 6) And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:” It makes it very difficult to expand God’s Kingdom when one minute you agree and the next you don’t. Road signs are no different. We can’t break them with a bunch of exceptions and expect real advancement. Let’s close out with what Jesus says about disagreement and agreements. Matthew 12:25 “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:” Jesus was actually telling us that disagreements destroys, it doesn’t build. Later, Jesus tells us how important coming into an agreement is needed. Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Remember Amos 3:3 “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” For those who don’t know Jesus, don’t come to a dead end; pass through into your covenant blessing by getting to know Jesus by going to Do You Know Jesus. ![]() Generally, we are to change our oil and filter every so many miles or within at least 3 months to keep our motors clean and running well. The oil normally has a light golden caramel color to it and is thick in consistency. When we don’t change our oil in a long time it gets very dirty and it looks very nasty in color. It also gets thin and runny like water. The oil isn’t the only thing that needs to be change but the filter, too. The filter is important to help keep the trash from flowing through all the other parts of the engine. Two things can happen if the oil filter isn’t changed. One, the oil will have a harder time passing through filter and oiling other parts. Two, it could totally stop the flow of oil completely and destroy the engine quickly. So, what does this has to do with us spiritually? We will see the similarity of an oil change to new wine in old wine bottles. Matthew 9:17. “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.” We will break this scripture down to bring more understanding. “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles:” New oil and old filter and vice versa doesn’t mix too well, neither does this method work in our spiritual life. Spiritually, God’s kingdom will never mix with the world’s way of thinking. We can see this from Matthew 6:24 “ No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Jesus clarifies this with Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” What can happen if we mix the two? “else the bottles break” Well, in an oil change, there may be some new oil but when we don’t put on a new filter the oil still can’t move through the engine as effectively as it should. There is still trash and old oil remaining in that old filter which will break down the new oil quicker and make it less efficient. The ending results is the motor is going to still break down more quickly than it should. Our spiritual man can do the same thing. How can this be so? We may be hearing the word of God, but actions show differently. James 1:22-24 “22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23) For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24) For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” Don’t mistake this that we’re to be super perfect. No, we’ll still stumble from time to time. This is more about not even trying. “and the wine runneth out” The parts ended up being wore out and oil leaks past the parts it lubricates and goes out the exhaust or any other places like the gaskets. At this point, the motor will continue to overheat and eventually break down. Can we do the same? Yes, we can break down and fall back into some of the world’s ways. This can be done through our thought process getting off track with the word of God. What we have done is reversed Colossians 3:2 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” This can eventually cause us to stumble on what’s true or not, which can lead to a complete breakdown of the motor, or in this case, our spiritual lives. “and the bottles perish” Since we’re only changing the oil and not the filter or neither one for a long period of time our motor just may clunk out and no longer run anymore. Could the same results happen to us? Yes, we may not lose our salvation but our blessings and protections may stop outside of God’s Mercy and Grace. Spiritually, it’s saying we have leaked out enough of God’s word and eventually become deceived to the world’s way again. 2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” Notice what the serpent has done. He beguiled “deceived or lied” to us and changed our thinking processes, which ends up corrupting us. Remember the serpent is like a roaring lion. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” meaning he’s looking for someone weak in the word, but there is Good News for us. “but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.” When we really do change the oil and filter properly our engines will last a lot longer than a half way or no oil change. What does this mean spiritually? We have put Jesus in our heart and attend to his word to be able to overcome the world. We do this by not letting evil consume us from a partial change, but now overcome evil and prosper as well. Paul even states that we can do this in Romans 12:21 “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” and Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” It may be time for our oil change and get back into the word and get our spiritual cleansing to get our spiritual man running again. Those who don’t know Jesus read picture caption below get your spiritual man going as well. ![]() Everybody maybe wondering about the title and sub title of this article. Can a traffic light really symbolically refer to God’s agape love? When you finish this tract you will see that it does. It’s amazing to see how a traffic light can be used almost like a parable. That is what Jesus did with us. Jesus said those who understand the parables will see the mysteries surrounding God’s word. Mark 4:11 “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:” Take time to see the warnings throughout the rest of the bible. What did God do? John 3:17 “17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” This is all about conviction not condemnation. The enemy creates condemnation. How does he accomplish this? The first half of John 10:10 tells us “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:” all three of those words can bring on condemnation . Now, let’s get started. What do we usually do when the light turns red on the traffic light? We are supposed to be stopping. When we fail to stop at a light at least three things could possibly happen. One, we could be involve with a wreck. Two, if caught could be pull over by the police. Three, we were what we call lucky that nothing happened. How can we approach this with the word of God? God gives us a red light through his love. I call them the hard subjects of the bible. Many times we fail to see those warnings as God’s love which is actually his protection. Remember what Jesus said about those who fail to take a warning. John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” This is a hard warning to get it right. This is like running that red light or in our terms “just follow the truths half way.” Proverbs 11:14 “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” We can’t have any better protection than the Trinity. We can even see where Paul expresses a similar statement. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” When we see a yellow light it tells us to take precaution. It is the same as a yield sign. This means beware of our surroundings and continue to go through if it is okay. Right! The same approach happens in God’s word. We can take precaution by getting into prayer. Here in this verse we can see why we need to take precaution. 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Then stick around for the answer and God will tell us to move forward or stop and wait. Psalms 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Again, we see God’s perfect love causing us to take a moment with him to be guided to his blessings and not falling into the enemy’s trap. A green light is what everybody wants to see. It tells us we move forward and not be delayed any longer. God’s word gives us a green light as well. There are at least three things that we can see in a green light for us spiritually. The first one is our salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 1 John 4:9 “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” The second one is when God orders our footsteps his blessings will protect us from slipping into the wrong direction Psalms 17:5 “Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.” The third one is if God gives us a plan it will not fail, but we need to keep faith in him that it will come to pass. Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” No matter what goes on in our life, God’s love is there for us; for those who believe. 1 John 4:16 “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” Wondering what it takes to start getting God’s Agape Love working for us? Go to the Do You Know Jesus and read the salvation message. This is a great place to start. ![]() We treat our bikes just like a family member. We even give them nicknames. They give us enjoyment to travel the back roads and see the scenic routes. It can give you that feeling of being free like having a convertible car, riding a skateboard, or roller skates and feeling the breeze flowing all around us. They bring family or friends together just like a family reunion which these reunions are called motorcycle rallies. Then all the sudden our bikes start running rough and ragged, brakes aren’t stopping, tires starting to look bald, drive train or a timing belt are beginning to flop or even can be just slipping; or the transmission isn’t wanting to go into gear. Some even get emotional and have tears called oil fluid, transmission fluid, or brake fluid leak. Their bed ends up being in the garage for a while. What effects do we feel when our bikes start having these problems? We suddenly begin to feel the effects of that bike being sick just like one of our family members being sick or just simply being sick ourselves from our own head colds. So, what are the symptoms we may experience? We start missing out on the rides, being together with the family member that is down, or in this case our motorcycle group, and others miss out being around us as well. What do we do when our bikes breakdown? Most of us call on our mechanic and get some work done on it. What does this mechanic do? They go in and diagnosis the problem and fix it. Then our bikes are back on the road again. We’ll we have good news for our health issues. His name is Jesus. Yes, Jesus is our mechanic. 1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” Now, we want to take it a little deeper with Matthew 9:35 “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” This will be broken down to get a clearer understanding. Jesus will represent the mechanic in this story after all we are looking for our own natural healing. “And Jesus went” Just as the mechanic went to work on the bike, Jesus comes to us and works on us. All we have to do call on his name and he will be there. Romans 10:13 “For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” We know this is a salvation message. I am not taking that away, but think about it. When we call on him to heal us; he has saved us from our sickness or other emotional problems so forth and so on. “about all the cities and villages” When the mechanic starts attending to the mechanical issues they begin to look over the bike and all the parts that could be involved. Spiritually we can take the bike and call it a city. Jesus has done everything to heal our body or our city. The bike is made of many parts to make a complete motorcycle. There are many body parts to make our body complete, too. All these parts on a bike like the brakes, transmission, engine, and the other parts are the villages. Our body’s have villages called the heart, kidney, muscles, nerves, and anything that makes our bodies complete. “teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom” Now, when that mechanic starts attending to the bike; they naturally start working on it. Naturally they use their tools to take off the bad part or parts and put back on the new part or parts. Spiritually for us our new part or parts is the different scriptures we can stand on the help bring in our healing. Jesus did this for us in at least two ways, but in many other ways as we learn the word of God. We mentioned the first one 1 Peter 2:24 that he provided that healing for us. The second way is we speak the word of God to remove sickness and restore our body with the word of God as well. We can see this through Matthew 18:18 “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Let’s try to explain this from a natural point of view. The mechanic working on the bike binds up the bad part or parts and simply removes them, and then the mechanic loosens or replaces the old part or parts with the new ones, so this is just like healing that motorcycle by replacing those old parts. We have to use the same principle with our sickness and turn it into a healing. We’re to take and bind sickness with the word of God and turn around and loosen the power of healing from God’s word or should say activate those scriptures that pertain to healing so we can be restored ourselves. This same principle can be applied in other areas of your life. Remember there are many scriptures we can refer too to obtain what we need; all we have to do is get into the word and find them. “and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” The final results are when the mechanic fixes the bike it’s restored back and gets out of the garage or off the motorcycle lift and becomes usable again. This is just like us with the hospital bed. We are now getting out of that bed and the hospital. This implies we are back to normal and joining our family and friends again. Spiritually for us our results are seeing the fulfillment of 1 Peter 2:24 coming alive in our body. This also brings enjoyment back into our lives. If you don’t know Jesus and want to begin the fulfillment of healing inside of you take time out, go read the salvation message. ![]() The four strokes to the bible To have a motor running means a lot of parts have to be working correctly. We want to focus on the four strokes or cycles. To help complete a stroke there are two valves and the direction of a piston is going is involved with each stroke, which will be explained later. What are these strokes called? They are called the intake, compression, power and exhaust stroke. The two different valves that make a successful stroke work are called the intake valve and exhaust valve. These major parts have to be working in what we call the timing of the motor or those strokes will not function properly. These four strokes can be expressed in God’s word. We need to bring these four strokes into our spiritual walk of life. The four strokes have to function properly or the engine will either run rough or not at all. Intake Stroke What does it take to make an intake stroke to be complete? The piston has to be moving in a downward position and the intake valve has to be open bringing in the air and fuel mixture and the exhaust valve has to be closed. Naturally it’s the air we breathe and the food or water we eat and drink is our fuel. What would this look like for us spiritually? God breathed life into us. Genesis 2:7 “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” When we take in the word of God it’s like breathing a breath of fresh air. Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” We get fueled by the word because the word of God becomes alive in us. John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Now, that we have consumed an air and fuel mixture we can go to the next stroke. Compression Stroke The compression stroke is accomplished by the piston moving in an upward direction and both intake and exhaust valves are now closed. This takes that air and fuel mixture and compresses it until it reaches the spark plug for the next stroke. Instead of compressing that air and fuel mixture, we take and build ourselves up with the word of God. Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” We can also see this in Isaiah 28:9-10 “9) Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Now, when that piston reaches the top it compresses the air and fuel mixture and becomes ignited to create the power stroke. This is the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Power Stroke In this stroke both intake and exhaust valves still remain closed. The spark plug ignites the air and fuel mixture and an explosion happens and forces the piston back down again. Our spark or explosion comes from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 10:19-20 “19) But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20)For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.” This is saying the Holy Spirit has got our backs when we get ready to speak. Now, it’s time for the last stroke of the 4 cycle engine. Exhaust Stroke The exhaust stroke is when the exhaust valve opens up and the intake valve remains closed. The piston is now going back up and letting out the remains of the burnt air and fuel mixture. This is like when we exhale or breathing the air out of our bodies. This has a spiritual significance for us and it’s called speaking out the word of God through our mouths. Now the living waters are being poured out of us. John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” Remember the Holy Spirit has our back so when we speak out it will be with boldness and with power. Boldness - Acts 4:41 “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” and Power - Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” We are now completing our fourth stroke with the word of God spiritually. Closing Let’s make certain our four spiritual strokes our functioning well or our spiritual walk won’t function too well either. If, we feel like we are not functioning well; get into pray or we need to get to know Jesus and become born again. Go to the Salvation page on the web and turn your life over to Jesus. ![]() Jesus declares we are to be the light of the world. Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” Why are we to be the light of the world? We are to be an ambassador for Jesus here on earth. 2 Corinthians 5:20 “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” This clearly states we are to represent Jesus. God needs us to be his visual representative’s so others can believe that God is the true living God. God wants his word to set people free from the bondage of the world’s system. This is the very reason we have to be Christ like. When we become more like Jesus then were able to be the light on that hill and be able to spread the word a lot easier. Then we will be able to do the real works of God. Are we really supposed to spread the word of God and do the works of the Lord? Yes, we are to spread the word. Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” and Matthew 10:7 “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Now, how can we spread the word of God if we’re not showing the light? Think about this, how can we show the love of God when we play the wishy washy ways of the world’s system and trying to mix it with the ways of God. That doesn’t work, it will never work. What kind of works can we do for the Lord? Jesus tells us what we are to do. Jesus tells us we have work to do. Luke 4:18-19 “18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Jesus tells us here just how much work we have to do. John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” Notice, Jesus said greater works. That means a lot of work has to be done. So is the light of Jesus inside of us really important? Yes, it is very important for our light to be bright and real. Let’s look at this scripture in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” When our light is dim others will have a very hard time seeing our good works. When our light is even less than dim others will only see it as a world’s way of help. This will make it hard for others to see that the power of God’s blessings become real and true. This is why we see a warning out of James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” When we play with the world’s ways and try to mix it with God’s way we have become that double-minded person, so now, our light is dim or not shining at all. What kind of way are we to be leading? We need to lead others on the right path just as the WORD has done for us. Psalms 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” When we really stick to the word and represent it in its fullest it will be simple for others to follow that light because the word of God is a powerful gateway. Psalms 119:130 “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” These two scriptures really tell us that the light of Jesus inside of us needs to be that powerful so that it can be seen. Jesus gave us two special commandments. We will look at the second first and then go back to the first one. The second commandment: Jesus told us to love our neighbor. Matthew 22:39 “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” How can we be that light on the hill and do the greater works, if we can’t love our neighbors. God’s love does what? 1 Peter 4:8 “And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” That’s why our light and love for others needs to shine through. This will help them draw closer to God and want to accept Jesus so they can receive the same blessing we get. Now, let’s look at the first commandment. The first commandment Jesus tells us to love God and not just part of the time either. Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” We need to see that the light is not about our recognition; it’s about identifying who God is. What a powerful way to show how bright out light needs to be. Jesus gives us a warning in an indirect way about not shining that light in a personal way. Jesus also said were not to be ashamed of him. Luke 9:26 “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.” Now why would Jesus say this to us? Again, we can show the true light of God’s word and his love, but if we are ashamed of Him, then our light will not shine. It’s time to change our light bulb if it’s not burning like it supposed to be. For those who want this kind of light shining through them and don’t know Jesus, take time out to visit our website, read our blogs, and get to know Jesus better. Become a partner with God and spread his kingdom as you build the light of Jesus inside of your own heart. That bead or weld is supposed to be strong enough and not become frail, weakened, or simply able to become unattached from the other pieces that it’s welded to. Right? That’s how powerful we are to be attached to the word of God. We’re not to allow any separation between us and the Holy Trinity. In this tract, we will see how making a bead “weld” is symbolic to the word “unity” and see how important it is in our relationship with God and others. In this situation, the Lord was speaking through Amos presenting a question about the real power of unity. Amos 3:3 “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” We must see that sin doesn’t agree with the Lord and in Amos’s time sin was very strong. This question was to bring awareness to the brokenness of unity. Which we can see from Amos 3:1-2 “1) Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, 2) You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.” The hearts and minds of God’s people had to be turned around. The Lord was making it known we can’t serve two masters. Luke 16:13 “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” This tells us that unity is needed and will be important. The power of unity with God and others help work the blessing and the breaking of curses in people’s lives. Matthew 18:19-20 “19) Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Let’s see where the truth of having the power of unity can bring blessings and break curses. Let’s look where numbers don’t mean anything to God, but how well a group in unity of those who do believe. Take a look at 2 Chronicles 14:8-9 “8) And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour. 9) And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.” The focus of unity and agreement comes from verse eight “these were mighty men of valour” meaning there was a power of agreement. This means God really does work with those who agree which is the power of unity. Jesus obviously even knew the importance of power of unity and how effective it is by sending his disciples out by two. Mark 6:7-8 “7) And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; 8)And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:” The biggest thing we need to see is the underlined words; all these underlined words confirm that all we need is the word of God and believe with full faith that it will work. Remember what the word says Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” We need everybody to come into unity so the power of prayer will be more effective as we agree together. Take a look at this scripture with healing. James 5:14-15 “14) Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” Verse fourteen says elders not elder and verse fifteen says the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, but it doesn’t end there. This magnitude of power can bring in salvation for those who aren’t saved. Here in this scripture, we can see the purpose of bonding together is very important. Ecclesiastes 4:12 “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” The enemy is always ready to come against us remember the enemy is on a mission which can be seen in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:” What happens to a beaded weld that isn’t properly welded? That weld begins to crack and become weak and the parts become disassembled. This means it becomes broken down until its welded back together. It also means there is no unity working any longer. The question is are we welded to Jesus so, we can have the access we need to the Father and the Holy Spirit? Without Jesus in our life it will be impossible for us to be in an agreement with God’s word and with others who do believe. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Anyone who isn’t saved needs to read the back of this tract and get to know Jesus then watch how the power of unity with the Lord brings in the blessings into our lives and others too. Why is trip planning so important to us?
Our rides are to be enjoyable, but we do come across problems from out of nowhere. Good bikers should plan their trips before going on their journey. Sudden and rash decisions can lead to many problems. Let’s look at 2 Chronicles Chapter 14:7 on how your bike rides can be fun and safe. This verse has some major key words walls, towers, gates, and bars. These words will be applied two different ways: naturally, how we will co-rule and co-reign with our Lord here on earth and spiritually, how Jesus takes care of us. Major Key Words Walls - Wall’s represent protection. We want safety all around us on our ride. Let’s protect our bikes, and/or trailers also. We get protection through prayer. Spiritually, praying is commanding his angels to protect us from harm or mechanical problems and trusting Jesus to send support our prayers. During prayer be aware, the Holy Spirit may tell us something that might need attention. We don’t want to over look any problems. Our walls may become weak, or broken. So, let’s pray and keep those walls up and strong for our enjoyable ride. Towers - Provide a way to see out from high above. Means you are overlooking your trip. You take time to inspect your bikes. You look at each part carefully. It requires us to look at other sources such as the internet, TV, and cell phones. These sources tell you things like the weather, road constructions, detours, closed roads, and where rough areas are. Spiritually, the Lord is watching over us from above the same way. He wants to make certain we are healthy, in a good position, and researched his word and ready to spread his word for him. His concerns are to keep us safe until we reach his destination in our lives. Gates - The Map represents a gate that has been opened. This means the information and the foot work has been fulfilled from the tower. It will lead us to our destination. The map is the written source of the vision to be accomplished. A good map can show us many things, like rest areas, mileage, types of highways, and names of towns. The map is a very essential tool to our open gate. Spiritually, the Lord opens gates the same way when the time has come to tell those who need to hear his word. We then take his path as instructed and all the encouraging word he’s given us and take it to his people so they can hear that word. Bars –Means it gives us a opportunity to see things ahead of us. This prevents us entering into harm’s way before the door is opened. This is where sudden and rash decisions have caused a false door to be opened. Now is the time to see everything that the enemy is using to stop us from enjoying our ride and fix it. Then we can be safe and fun. Spiritually, this is where the Lord shows us how the enemy’s traps are trying to stop us from getting his word out to his people. We can see where he wants us to go before this happens. This is where you will find having your walls up; getting into our tower are very important before entering our gates to adventure on the highways. Use this principle for your ride and taking out his word. Get prayed up, get his instructions, and then go where he tells you to go. Thank you for being with me Lord! I would like to encourage you to read the whole chapter from beginning to end. It will clearly give you a picture of victory that can only describe our Lord was with us. Lord I come to you boldly and ask that whosoever reads this tract that it touches their hearts and to receive your word to make their journey’s, whether riding with pleasure or doing your works, safe and enjoyable. Amen. Our motorcycle or trike rides should be as victorious as our spiritual walk. How can we accomplish this victorious ride? When we obey and apply Joshua 1:8-9 into our ride. Then your journey will become victorious. Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. Lets kick up our kickstands and rev-up 5 key words out of Joshua 1:8 meditate, observe, written, prosperous, and success and watch our ride become victorious. We will close out with a brief statement with Joshua 1:9 with the effects of using these five key words.
Meditate We are going to talk about a road map. How is a looking at a map related to meditate? Well! We meditate on the word (bible) for our spiritual walk; take time to focus on the map for the best route to take. Don’t just pull out a map and say hey, this is the route to take. Study it and see how it will affect you to get to your destination. Psalms 1:2; 119:15; and Matthew 6:33 will refresh you why it is important to study a map as rider for the best route and your walk with the Lord. This will help you put the key into your motorcycle for a victorious ride. {Meditate in Joshua 1:8 means two words: meditate (to focus one's thoughts on or ponder over) and muse (to become absorbed in thought; especially: to think about something carefully and thoroughly} Observe After you observe your map, notice what is in that route such as how many miles between towns, any restaurants, gas stations, and even repair shops. Motorcycles are not like cars where you can just stop at any mechanic shop unless you have a homemade trike with a car motor in it. These points of interest you’ve observed can tell you the truth about your route. Jesus says same thing about him. He is the best route to follow. John 14:6, it clearly states he is the way, truth and light. Read and observe the book of Jonah. It will cause you to be observant and understand to take the right path. Now you are ready to kick-up your kickstand. Start claiming that victorious ride. {Observe - to take notice; to conform one's action or practice to (as a law, rite, or condition): comply with; to come to realize or know especially through consideration of noted facts.} Written The map was written for us in four ways: (1) naturally, to visualize and refer back too to stay on course. (2) Spiritually, written on our hearts to know it’s the best and safest route. (3) Mentally, to place it in our minds to remember special places like exit ramps, restaurants, fuel stops and resting place like hotels or road side parks. (4) Prevent us from being lost and without help. God’s laws are written on our hearts the same way. Read Jeremiah 31:33; Hebrews 8:10 for our walk with him. Seeing the value of the map and information you wrote down, you put your motorcycle in gear and head on the road to your victorious destination. Prosperous Prosperous is meditating on your map (route) you will take and observing every need for your journey. It’s the information you have written down to complete your destination even with emergency stops. Jesus even left us with a prosperous way. His word is in the bible. His prosperous ways are Psalms 25:12; James 4:7; 1Peter 2:24 and John 3:16. Now is the time to put your kickstand back down and enjoy your victorious destination. {Prosperous here means: to make prosperous, bring to successful issue, cause us to prosper from Joshua 1:8}. Success You made it to your destination safely to complete your mission in visiting someone, ministering, or site seeing. Habakkuk 2:1-3 and Acts 20:24 say Jesus will cause you to reach your destination concerning his works in your life. He was successful by abiding in his Father (John 15:10), did what his Father did (John 5:19), and conquered death and rose again. Our road journey and spiritual life will have a victorious and successful ending {Success here means: to prosper, have success from Joshua 1:8.}In closing, Joshua 1:9 and John 14:7 both point this out: be strong, not afraid, nor dismayed, for our Lord Jesus will be with us. Why is this so important? Without understanding the five key words in Joshua 1:8 your trip and spiritual walk could be miserable. Jesus wanted us to have that victorious ride as well as our walk with him. We are victorious in Jesus. |
